My family has been so fortunate to be part of the Lone Wolf Arena family for nearly 2 years.
We moved from St Louis 2 years ago and have a lot of challenges with becoming first time Horse owner. In 2011 after 3 years of leasing horses and uprooting my family from our home in St Louis I decided to buy a horse for my daughter. We had never owned a horse but had a few years of leasing under our belt and felt we were ready. We heard that Leawood Stables owner had died and many horses needed rescue. We purchased a Horse from the estate and asked Dave at Lone Wolf to help us trailer the horse to his stables. Dave got us set up and immediately started helping us get the horse the proper care and veterinarian help it needed. After 4 months or so our young mare was looking great even a bit fatter than other horses and we would soon find out why. Our Mare was pregnant and was due in 2 months. We had no idea what to do. Dave and Julie at Lone Wolf held our hand the entire way. They assured we had the best support and guided us through some challenging new experiences. That level of care and trust at a Ranch is far and few between I have found out and we are so lucky to be a part of this great family. I see the everyone at Lone Wolf offering a helping hand to anyone in need. No matter the species. Dave takes care of all the horses as his own. I see him time and time again help others out of his own pocket to assure their animals get the best care. He never asks for anything. Always just a friendly smile and Howdy from Dave! When boarders run into hard times Dave is the first to work with them for the better hood of the Horse and owner. Dave is one of the last true cowboys. He cares for his follow man and always shares his wisdom with the children. Dave has taught us many things and has opened our eyes to how wonderful our 4 legged friends make life better even when we get kicked in the shin. He always reminds us that “Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.”
I thank Dave and Julie at Lone Wolf Arena for caring so much and giving all of us the opportunity utilize their wonderful ranch. I would recommended any person looking for a equestrian facility go to Lone Wolf Arena.
