Cowboy Word
The Cowboy Word-" The Rodeo goes on"

The month of March holds many significant events to this cowboy laureate, first it holds my birthday on the 1st. I  had to wait another day this year but ,What if  this doctor of dirt, this horse manure specialist would have had a birthday every 5 years.  That would make me 25 today and  by gosh I feel like 25.
I think time reconnoitering is sometimes a derogatory thing that people place limits on themselves. Why I believe Harlan Sanders started Kentucky Fried Chicken at the youthful age of 68. I don't think George Strait looks any older than when he did "Pure Country" and I saw Bo Duke the other day and he still looked like he's in pretty good shape. Even old Walker Texas Ranger is looking pretty fit on those infomercials.
Yes I have known some tough characters in my day and many of them went through some pretty horrific accidents and tough times but they can still crack walnuts with the best.
Time passing should give you the benefit of wisdom, and as my grandfather used to say " the school of hard knocks". It's the unfortunate soul that ignores history and has to repeat it.
It's like our President if he would just open up that" dear diary of his many predecessors" he would find the answer to many of his current problems. I would start with " In God We Trust".
If he would just do a little reading he could find out what old uncle Teddy would have done with Korea, Iran and the middle east in general. " Walk softly but carry a big stick"
The other lesson he could learn from the Rough Rider is what to do about the oil conglomerate, and other big businesses and their greed, " after all Mr President you have sworn an oath to protect our citizens from all threats , foreign or domestic.
Teddy Roosevelt, and  my father and mother had similar traits of dedication to God and Country, and this was developed every day of our upbringing through family and hard work. My parents had simple rules, they ruled and you listened, and when you got old enough to make your own decisions you where reminded of those rules.
I am not a cynic or a sentimentalist, but a pure carved marble realist . I can say with all honesty that all my lifes travels have taken me where I am today. This Ranch represents our small bit of " that precious stone set in a silvery sea" From here we can bring people peace and happiness and new adventure. We can shave away some of the years and give you some new wisdom to attack your problems. Any one person has the capacity to hurt or heal a wounded soul, here at the Ranch we are about healing and building strength.
If you were here and could see what I witness on a daily basis you would find your faith in your fellow man and your God restored.
You are constantly surrounded by different forms of life and change and work.
My good friends the simplicity of life is not to escape it, but to understand its purpose and meaning for you.
So please pile the family in the car and come on out for visit, we will take off our work glove and extend our hand and greet you and I promise we can make a horse and a little girl smile at the same time.
On this 1st day of March I wish God's Blessing on my wife Julie and my daughters Shannon and Kelly and my son Sean, and my grandson Jeremiah ,parents Louis and Marilyn. my brothers and sisters Marypat, Aless, Dan , Andrew, Tom, Ben and all of there families, a special Howdy to my niece Ms Molly, my special inlaws Barb and Butch, my brother in law Mark and sisterinlaw Shelly and all my friends new and old and yet to come .

A common cure for the pain in your neck is a sore rump  Till next time "25 and going strong"
